In many cases knowledge of calculus can do this: Calculus is a branch of mathematics that describes the rates changes in many patterns of change represented by functions .Calculus seeks to answer two big questions about functions; 1. steepness of a function at a point; The Derivative 2. area under a function over an interval; The integral . This course has been broken down into TEN modules. The learner is introduced to concepts in differential and integral calculus of single variable and their applications. Calculus has a wide range of applications namely; solving optimization problems, find areas under a curve (AOC) and definition of mathematical models for probability density functions
