This module gives an in-depth explanation of the structure and organization of memory system used in modern computers. In the module, the learners are exposed to semiconductor electronics techniques that are adopted in implementation of memory systems. They are further exposed to the hierarchical organization of computer memory with focus on implementation approaches used in cache memory.
In this course we shall be learning about memory of computer systems. We’ll begin by watching videos on these important aspects of Operating systems. You are encouraged to ensure that you have access to a reliable Internet and that your devices (computer, tablet or phone) have properly working multimedia systems. This module also presents a number of interactive and non-interactive activities. You will be required to complete all the activities before you can proceed to the next module.
